'Undie Run', namely running in undies, has been a tradition of Universities in America as a celebration of the end of each academic year after the final exams. And among all the nearly-nude races, the one held annually by Arizona State University (ASU) features the largest scale and strongest influence.
Thousands of ASU students gave away the clothes off their backs on May 7th for the sixth annual 'Undie Run' and reveled in the race.
Meanwhile the ‘Undie Run’ is also endowed with some good meanings as the school’s largest charity event. Each participant donated the clothes they were wearing and some non-perishable foods before rushing down the street in nothing but their underwear pieces.
And according to the report by The Huffington Post, these nearly nude do-gooders helped collect 4.5 tons of clothing and 1.7 tons of food in total, which would benefit organizations such as Arizona Helping Standup
