Orlebar Brown, founded by photographer Adam Brown back in 2007, has for the first time expanded its scope to include swimwear products for women, with its first exclusive Women's swimwear collection recently introduced.
Known for its relaxing and practical aesthetic, Orlebar Brown this time incorporated the concept and inspirations from their menswear items into the new designs for women. The capsule collection contains sporty one-piece swimsuits, color-blocking bikinis, printed shorts in shades like navy, red and khaki, as well as the very simple-looking vests and T-shirts, which are to help the wearers do perfectly in their day-to-night beach looks.
To designer of the line, Adam Brown, designing for women was not really a big challenge, except for the "the issue of fit" he had to deal with. The inspirations for the designs, according to him, mostly came from the brand's menswear line, and thus same principles, knowledge and understanding that he had of designs and fabrics came to create this women's line.
According to Adam Brown, the OB woman, just like the OB men, enjoys life, traveling and style, but does not go for an over-complicated wardrobe, so they will favor such understated and well-fitted clothing items.
